SASH Training Course 2014 commenced

On Saturday 22 March 2014 we commenced our 2014 SASH Training Course, with 23 students enrolled from a range of diverse backgrounds including Anaesthesia, Midwifery, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, General Practice and Obstetrics. New enrollments are now closed for 2014.

David Patterson Workshop – 28-29 June 2014

David R Patterson PhD, ABPP is Professor of Psychology in the Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine, Surgery and Psychology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr Patterson's current interests are in psychological approaches to the reduction and managing pain, particularly through hypnosis, immersive virtual reality, and eastern concepts such as Mindfulness and Zen Buddhism. He remains a strong advocate of providing adequate medication for people in pain, particularly after trauma and has conducted a number of studies using pharmacology. Dr Patterson has over 200 peer-reviewed publications, chapters, monographs and book chapters in topics such as pain control and adjustment to burn injuries and trauma.

Registrations for this workshop are limited and will close on 31st May 2014.
